:
: Another HP friend I've found online has said this and I totally agree
: with her on this point they had waited to do all the movies after the
: book series was over; On another list I'm on we were also talking
: about how book 7 felt rushed and someone brought up the point if JKR
: had waited longer to put out book 7, that would have meant the movies
: would have been pushed back even further and lets face it, those kids
: are not getting any younger.
:
: So to a degree some of the aspects of 7 seemed rushed a lot of that
: camping stuff seemed like it was to fill up and make it like a whole
: year of Hogwarts passed...I don't know...a lot goes into this stuff
: now simply because the movies have this schedule and I kind of agree
: with the ideas other folks have been saying in reference to the actors
: getting up there in age and eventually it's getting to the point of
: they're to old.
:
: Heck, Snape is in his mid 30's and nothing against Alan Rickman he
: plays a great Snape but he is close or at his 60's....well, movies
: generally never have the people at the right age but still.
:
: If they had waited till after the books were all out, they could have
: done a better job with time, they would have known exactly where the
: series was going. I mean, you know on some things that are cut out it
: sort of becomes kind of important to the series.

And likely had an entirely different cast than they've been working with.
Better...or worse?

: I have not seen OOTP but I saw on here and I've read other people talk
: about it and totally cutting Lily out of that...well...to me it makes
: me less inclined to see OOTP.
:
: I have actually chosen not to see the remaining movies 6 or 7 or if
: they do this nonsense 7 part 2.
:
: I don't see why they can't get 7 in one movie...to me...yea...it's
: marketing simply to milk it more. Heck they're building a theme park
: for goodness sake and to a degree it's going to become blasted
: overkill if you ask me.
:
: I personally think releasing OOTP movie and book 7 the same year was
: too much really...after reading 7 I had no desire what so ever to see
: OOTP. I am probably totally different or weird from most fans but it
: just killed my desire to see OOTP...(shrugs) Thats just me but...if
: they take the time to do 7 into 2 movies instead of one...I just think
: it cheats the fans from the other books like OOTP, HBP...
:
: Baa...either way I'm not interested anyway but if they could fit OOTP
: in one movie than they can fit 7 into one movie.

ORDER was the longest book,so SHOULD have been the longest movie.

: If they had been smart to begin with they should have waited till the
: end of the book series and then made the whole book series a mini-
: series on TV...they could do a chapter an episode...NOW that might
: have been really cool; each week you get a different chapter starting
: with book 1 thru 7...
:
: The movies screwed up in starting the filmes before the series was
: over but to a degree this sounds more like a rumor than actual fact.

(as we know now,it's definite intent, though I wonder if their being
cagey over just where HALLOWS will be split means they haven't
really decided).
