I resolved it as railroading Harry. So it didn't matter who he did it
in front of, just that he did. And during the trial, it rarely got
mentioned, as they focused more on Harry's Patronus and debating
Dementor attacks.


Actually, mentioning the hearing reminded me - I was very surprised to see Arabella Figg mentioned as an original member of the Order. I'm assuming she's the same as Mrs Figg, Harry's neighbour who's a Squibb. The Order was dangerous enough even if you could defend yourself with magic - how on earth did she survive (and she must have been amazingly, or madly, brave!)
