BIGGEST PLOT HOLE: Is it really that hard for Voldemort to guess that
Harry would be hiding at the home of his best friend? Harry?s safety
at this point seems like more of a plot necessity than a realistic
likelihood. Why wouldn?t Voldemort just drop a nuke on the Weasleys
out of general principles?
Voldemort loathes Muggles and Muggle methods. And besides the Weasley
residence was protected by the same charms as the Tonks' residence and
Voldemort did not yet have full control of the Ministry at that point
so he couldn't bring down the full might of the Ministry to break the
charms. They _were_ later broken IIRC.
