I'm saying, the rebounding spell didn't cause the explosion. It
happens three times. Twice, there's nothing to even hint at an
explosion. Not like energy flying every which way but loose. It's
direct line of sight. There's no reason the first time should cause
an explosion.

I agree with KarentheUnicorn... The house blew up because V took the hit
from the rebounded AK due to Lily's unrealized protective love spell...

After thinking this over I think it was V who blew up when the AK rebounded on
him. It is just that the reaction of a rebounded AK and a unstable sole.
released energys that took the house with it.


The 2nd time V hit Harry with the AK was a different circumstance - it
wasn't due to a protective love spell that V died, it was due to the wand
believing Harry was it's owner and it wasn't going to hurt it's downer...

That was part of it but also remember that unstable fragment in harry helped
to shield harry when the second AK hit.


I agree that this love spell should have happened in the past for them to
know about the effects of it but perhaps it was only theorized and in fact
did not happen before... There may have been many theories such as the
theories we had about the first Atom bomb - we didn't know if it was going
to catch the atmosphere on fire and destroy the world but it was still one
of many theories about what would happen...

I rather think it had happend in the past but with a diffrent spell. From
thoes refs DD gused what happend after the fact. However I don't think they
were totaly sure until V returned and gave his side of the encounter to harry
and most likely later snape. who later gave the information to DD.
