Well, that kinda kept happening anyway. At least in using AK on
Harry. Three times, three failures. Two near-deaths and 1 death.

I am surprised that no one mentioned the obvious. Since the Prophecy said that Harry was the ONE with the power - and not anyone else - then you would have to get Harry to kill Voldemort.,
