But my point is, it does degrade over time, but it takes much longer

How do you know? I don't recall reading that in the books.
It's not in the books, but if we accept Death didn't make the Hallows,
then it only makes sense Harry's would have to degrade over time.
No, it doesn't. In the King's Cross chapter, DD relates to
Harry that he had the cloak the night James was killed.
He wanted to examine it. He said it was the most perfect
cloak ever, extremely old, and yet completely perfect. It
would never have worked as well for him and it did for
Harry, it's rightful owner.
This chapter makes it clear that, for some unknown reason,
Harry was the only one worthy to possess all three hallows.
The cloak did NOT degrade over time.
Exactly - and hence the problems in the books with (minor)
contradictions,
where the cloak, supposedly impervious to magic, wasn't. And hence my
suspicion that the whole deathly hallows theme was a very late addition.
Very few other magic details contradict themselves in earlier books,
because
JKR had planned them out thoroughly; the deathly hallows are the
exception.

That and everything set up in HBP for the Horcrux Hunt disappeared.
Harry never had to get a memory. Harry never had to trace magic. The
Blood lock at the cave was the only kind of lock around. JK really
fumbled the challenges. There was no point in having Harry get
Slughorn's memory. DD could have used Virtasium. If he truly didn't
already know the info he needed.
You really should check you spelling a bit better. You are
quite intelligent, but your sloppy spelling might lead new
readers to think otherwise.
This last bit is all rubbish. Of course, DD needed Sluggie's
memory. Veritaserum (correct spelling) can be fooled. Memories
can be altered, but DD knew this. That's why he needed Harry
to persuade Sluggie to give up the correct memory.
ROTFLMAO!!!
Read your first sentence out loud!!!
Ah, so since I asked Toon to check spelling
a bit more, I'm now expected to be purrfect.
As someone purporting to emulate Rickles, you are expected to show a
thicker skin when your attention is drawn to a funny of your own making.
You see, to the NORMAL person, the odd spelling
error is overlooked.
Normalcy is a standard to be strived towards?
With Richard the Blind Typist,
we exercise some leeway, as his computer spells
words phonically from his speech input.
Just because Richard has gone blind does not mean that he is incapable
of doing his own dyslexic typing.
But, Toon's
spelling is often quite poor.
Yes, it has indeed improved!!!
He/she
....claims to be "hung".
is much more
intelligent than that.
Which would excuse exactly what, even if it were indeed so?
You, on the other hand, are not...
My IQ can whip yours any day, proving nothing.
taking the part
of a peurile student who likes to point out
all of the teacher's errors.
Where? Teacher's inferiority complex is showing!!
Bet you were a real
gem in school.
Pray tell what you have against an "A" average.
Get a grip!!!
