Um, why?

I mean, we've been told all along that Harry's glasses were a vital part
of the character, and yet even in the final book -- so far as I can
remember -- they never do serve any role at all :-(


I want to know why leave them out. What posseses a person to see
Harry wearing glasses, then say, no no, that doesn't belong at all.
It's clearly my decision?
