What function does it serve with humans?
Great fashion sense. Everybody loved those Queer Eye Guys. And
women
love good fashion. So if they feel good, they're out and about,
getting picked up and knocked up. Thus proving homosexuality does
indeed help propagate the human race.
...and the great fashion sense gene.
Why not? Studies have shown political leanings are hereditary. Risk
taking too.
Of course. "Studies" have shown that just about everything is
hereditary. The problem is there is no hard proof in these "studies".
These are just scientists speculating amongst themselves.

Not really. A lot of things are inheritable. Eye rolling, for
instance. Doens't mean there's a specific gene for it. Life is just
not that simple.

Imitation. Kids imitate what parents do. It helps that they have the
gene to do stuff, but if they don't see parents doing it, they might
never try. At school, lots of girls could fold their tongues. I
couldn't. Then I knew my father could. I tried and I did it. I also
thought I wasnt' able to bend all articulations of the fingers. My mom
could and she just needed to teach me once for me to do it.

Not always. What of two twins, separated at birth. Both roll their
eyes at the same things, both fold up their tongues, yet never see
others doing it. Let alone chosing wives of the same name, naming
their dogs the same, same make and color of cars.

I think it's not just certain genes, but a combo of genes, and not
easily tested for or controlled.
