Pardon me for replying again, but your remarks got more interesting
after I had time to reflect.

It's there and I think it's a spectacular catch considering all the
discussion about when JKR started thinking about what.

Yes, it could be interpretted as proof that she already knew about the
DH, although it actually proves that she had designed an interesting
symbol and thought it worthy of being displayed in the move. But,
that's close.

It almost looks like she bought a Mac and posted it herself.

Did you get that from the headers? I reviewed them and couldn't
figure it out, but I did look at her(?) usenet posting history and
found it rather interesting. Over 8000 posts in an assortment of
groups about religion, sexuality, and smoking cessation. Too bad, I
don't have time to read any of them at the moment. First post is in
alt.rave in 1996.

Apologies. Apparently I got the Mac part from reading _your_ header. I
do my responses offline with copy-paste (if that explains anything).

I wouldn't put any weight on the groups at all. I took a look at my
so-called profile at googlegroups and saw myself listed for groups I had
never even heard of. I think it must have come from all the cross
posting we had here a while back. I also have no idea what those
"ratings" are about.

Even though 8000 posts over 11 years only breaks down to about 2 a day,
I have my doubts. It sure doesn't sound like a person who writes novels
in longhand. If anything, she would have had an eye on this group and we
would have had better books.
