We actually have historical record of some - although no historical
record about one particular one. WE also have no historical record of
Moses and the rest of his tale.

A cross can only mean ONE thing to them - even if it is a KKK cross.
Oh dear - wine - well that settles it - they served wine at a dinner -
it must be a reference to religion!!!!!!

The only connection between the death and resurrection of the christ -
which is fiction to begin with...<snip>

AS far as what religion teaches - based on the actions of numerous
Priests in Ireland, Cananda, and the United States - you have to
wonder exactly what religion does teach.
I think it's possible to make your point without attacking any specific
religion. The attacks dilute your point and make you sound as though
you're only grinding an ax.

With the exception of the KKK( which I do not consider a religion)- I mentioned no specific religion. I use the term priest interchangeably with reverend, minister and other like terms.

WHile they SAY that they are not supposed to judge(lest they be
judged) - religious people are among the most judgmental people in the
world. Even the once great billy graham has said that only those that
follow him will be saved. They condemn people for being gay - for
dressing differently, for praying differently, for whatever. You have
to wonder about a minister who is right now asking for donation so he
can buy a new $20 Million Dollar plane!!! This same man has a
"justifiable" $13,500 italian marble toilet in his house.

These are issues with humans, not religion. If you believe any
organization is guilty of the the behavior of a few of its members then
there are no organizations I'm aware that aren't guilty of horrible crimes.

You are right and wrong.

The whole basis of religion - is to use fear to make money (All religions do that that I know of) - and use fear to get you to conform to their teachings that they say are ordained by a god or gods (all religions I know of do that too). Virtually all of the religion used or still use religious teachings as a reason for persecuting, conquering, discriminating, torturing, or killing people who may or may not believe as they do.

I do not blame religion for the individual acts performed by some of their members that were not sanctioned by the religion. However - when the religion is the one that initiates the problems, and when they take no action to stop them from happening, they are fair game.
