I believe the point was that even when people do use their brains, the outcome is not always good. That is why they developed erasable ink and pencils with erasers right on top. One cannot just say that people should THINK before they do something. Often - the best result comes from something you do not think through. Similarly - those things that you agonize over are not always successful.

Remember - If you have been to Texas - visual information would tell you that the earth is FLAT.

Huh? I guess you haven't been to central Texas, or the 'Big Bend' area. Neither are by any stretch flat.
