Then why Emmerson has not been sued because of his book? Or Galadriel
Waters? They use HER characters and make money of them: "In 2006, in
advance of the arrival of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, five
MuggleNet staff members co-authored the reference book Mugglenet.Com's
What Will Happen in Harry Potter 7: Who Lives, Who Dies, Who Falls in
Love and How Will the Adventure Finally End, a published collection of
unofficial fan predictions. The book included the controversial (but, as
it turned out, correct) theory of Harry Potter being a Horcrux.
As of July 21, 2007, What Will Happen sold 335,000 copies, totaling $5
million in sales, $2 million of which went to Ulysses Press of South
Berkeley, California. [10]Spartz and his co-authors launched an
aggressive marketing campaign in June 2007 to promote their work. [11]
Authors of the best-selling book are Emerson Spartz, Ben Schoen, Andy
Gordon, Gretchen Stull, and Jamie Lawrence."
Mugglenet itself is commercial, they have ads on the site and this is a
quote by Emmerson: "I plan to use the _significant amount of money I
have earned through my e-business, MuggleNet.com_ , as investment
capital, as both an entrepreneur and an investor." They used to sell
merchandising and they only stopped when WB told him to do it.
And Emerson has Fanfiction in mugglenet, which is a very important part
of the site. He might not be writing it BUT he allows it to be written
in HIS site and he makes indirectly profit of it.
So, why is the difference between Emerson and Steven?
We know Jo likes Emerson.
