Why must she have some other agenda? Who says - you? Sorry but that doesn't make it so.

Her books are very strongly in favour of tolerance and acceptance of different groups, and against prejudice. Dd being gay is entirely consonant with that, so no other agenda is necessary beyond that tolerance.
