Snape-related questions about Alan Rickman

Hey, all...
Ok, so... it's been well publicized that Jo told Alan Rickman things
about Snape early on (in fact, the interview in which this is
mentioned was in November of '01, before the first movie was
released). The question is: What, precisely did she tell him? I
can't help but note that in PS/SS while talking to the Trio near the
end (at about 1:52, during the appropriately titled "Up To Something"
chapter), when Hermione is trying to come up with a reason for them to
be inside, "on a day like this," he says, "You ought to be careful.
People will think you're... up to something." But when he's saying
it, he looks at Harry (hence the pause in the second sentence), and he
has this look of... confusion? Recognition? There's definitely
something there. I can't help but wonder if Jo told Rickman that
there was something significant about Harry's eyes, since that sort of
seems to be what he's reacting to. Thoughts?
Also--I'm pretty sure Alan Rickman wears contacts for the role. His
own eyes are light (blue, or hazel) but Snape's eyes in the films are
black, as can be very clearly seen in the Occlumency scene when Harry
gets into his memories.
