And what about all the things DD shouldn't have known, as listed at
the K2K website? Example: DD says to Harry: "You have never known
Alastair Moody." How could he be so sure that Moody was an imposter
from day one at Hogwarts and not, say, starting at some point just
before chapter 16 ("The Goblet of Fire")?


Only if Ron began showing
leadership skills would K2K work. And that was a very big if.

To repeat:

What was the purpose of Ron's being attacked by those brains, since
they were never previously mentioned in, say, DADA classes? Nothing
happens as a result in 6 and 7! Unless, of course, the original
purpose was to make Ron as smart as DD by the end of HBP?
