I ask you men out there when is the last time you cleaned a toilet?
Did the grocery shopping? Who sends out all the cards and letters?
Wrap the gifts? Take the pets to the vet? Volunteer at the schools?
solves all the family crises? More often than not it's the women.
And no, we don't do it because we don't earn an income and feel we
obligated to do that for you. We do that because it's good for the
family; it's healthier and makes you live in comfort. We love you.

Sorry to annoy... but since the wife and I met... I stayed home to do
the 'house spouse' stuff while she worked. Her earning potential has
always been greater than mine.

This has been our way of life for almost 30 years... apart from odd
periods here and there when I worked outside the home. Just for
info... I cleaned the toilets yesterday! :)

Times are changing... but oddly, I don't see myself as a prostitute
either :)

Oh it's not annoying; I was indeed arguing that some men do stay home
now. The point being though is a sharing of stuff. If your mate
works a lot of hours to bring home what the family needs, Equal amount
of time and consideration should be spent on the otherside.
Conversely I know my husband sits in an office and occasionally has
"Skate time" which means that I do not feel guilty being here on this
board for example. I cook and clean (not because I feel I have to or
obligated to) and do most errands and such just because I don't want
him to have to do a lot more after work. On the weekend, we both let
things go. Saturdays we go out somewhere and enjoy dinner out too.
No housework/work that day for either. Who cares if there's an extra
load of laundry or a couple things lying out. We just share and
consider one another. I wish the same for others.
