I recently pointed out that Ricardo Muti would make an excellent Snape, with
the hair, the nose and the sallow face already there!
Now I have just found an excellent Dumbledore - Sir George Young, the tory
MP! He is tall, thin, has the long nose (albeit fairly straight)
and just the right demeanour!
I've never heard of Ricardo Muti; I'll have to check him out on IMDB.
I really think snape was all about the hair, the stare and the crooked
nose. The hair they could do on anyone with a wig etc, but the other
two are a little more difficult. I guess the nose could be changed and
contacts used though. However, the acting is what's behind the eyes!
Anyone else found any good media people that fit the description of a
character in the books ? Nobody could beat Robbie Coltrane as Hagrid or
Maggie Smith as Minerva McGonagall of course, but there must be better
lookalikes than some of the other choices for the films!
Jim Hawkins
He doesn't act in the role. It's like his brain has been injected with botox. He brings nothing of the book character's nastiness to the screen.
