Was DD good? Teen DD wasn't. Adult DD was. Though his plans for
Harry show he wasn't. Until V resurrected with Harry's blood. Then
DD's plan could come to fruition, and still allow Harry to live.
Were Fred and George good? They fought against V, but their joke
testing leaves much to be desired for. They were quite cruel to Ron
and Percy (before his hiatus form the family).
There's good and evil in us all. A lot of it is a matter of
perspective.
This is pretty much one of the major points of the entire series, and
I'm still amazed at the number of people who don't get it.
