He left last time because the book was a year off and the theories
were repeating in endless cycles.

I too had this impression of why Troels left.

Apparently he had another reason, or many, generally that the book
disappointed him and he was wrong on many theories, though the former
he didn't really say...well, see for yourself:

I am making it my personal quest to convince him to come back and give
us a teensy bit more, at least. After all, he reads plenty of other
groups avidly. And he's a reasonable man. Should be doable.

Anyone else interested should do the same. Just go to his profile
there and find a different group he's posting to, and reply to a post
of his. Beg him to come back and share with us.

Please don't overdo it. That could become harrassment. He might just
not want to waste any more of his time on a series that turned out to
be . . . a waste of time. That's how I feel, anyway. Since I wish I
hadn't bothered with the series in the first place, it is hard to work
up energy for discussion. I've been trying, but really can't. Not
yet, anyway.

eh?? This has been a long journey and I would hardly change a line of
text. Brilliant stuff and this last book was easily the best of the
lot.

Troels may be dying to express his opinion, or he may really really
not want to bother with HARRY POTTER any more. Letting him know we
are interested in his opinion is fine, but let's not nag.
