Because his life debt and the glimmer of triumph in DD's eyes
are going to plot points in book 7.
DUH :-)
I wonder how many loose threads there will be at the end of DH;
imagine the fan riots when none of the 'life debt' or 'glimmer' will
show up again in book 7. :-)
