Besides, this part is not much different from a situation in which a
human is in vegetative (spelling?) state: obviously not like the "soul"

The hypocracy is staggering. Dont' forget that the bible, like it or
not, is basically the oldest and longest porno ever written. With
some of the most disturbing scenes (ex. starving parents arguing over
who gets to eat the afterbirth) and violence ever written, no recent
work can even compare. In some countries they are considering giving
it an X rating.
