Kinda hard to take this thread seriously, if nobody has read the
article that it is supposedly discussing.
Sorry, but I'm not about to give some religious nut more hits on his
Site. Beside, I've read some of the original post, and, frankly, I
can't understand WHAT he's trying to say. I assumed Sirius correctly
portrayed Mr. Woodard's beliefs.
I made an honest attempt to figure it out and state it more simply.
Although I have heard of Hades and Vahalla, I honestly have no idea
what the classical notion of an afterlife. What Woodard said, got my
attention, since he seemed to say that it was significantly different
than the Christian view.
He never said that the Ancients didn't have an afterlife,
or anything REMOTELY CLOSE TO IT. Mind you, it
is pretty hard to figure out what he IS saying, but that
is no reason to completely make things up. Sheesh.
I didn't, I smpley translated what he said into something more
comprehendable.
You should be replying to Sirius about this; I'm just going by what he
said.
Hope you mind me replying to your post. I did request that others
read the article if they could so we could discuss it fairly. Karnak
did, but he seems to think I'm the one with an agenda.
