I just came across a very strange incident: When Tonks takes Harry to
school after rescuing him from the train she keeps talking about
safety measures taken for Hogwarts. She is stationed in Hogsmeade to
guard the school. You would think she knows how to open the schoolgate
then. Later on she does, as we know. But when they arrive at the gate
she sends the strange patronus out because she needs someone to open
the gate!!! Snape manages to open it just by pointing his wand onto
the lock! It cannot have been really difficult to open it then for
someone who knew and I wonder why Tonks didn=B4t simply open the gate
herself. Why does she call for help? Can=B4t she perform silent spells?
I slowly come to the conclusion that the result of the lessons that
are given at Hogwarts are not really effective - there are too many
incapable wizards around!
Ah, but if she was an imposter, she a) wouldn't know the current security
measures at the school and b) would be very interested in finding out.
