Yes, whatever. I'd probably also make some jokes about how his boyfriend has a tail. Then I feel bad myself as I had a boyfriend who has lot of facial hair and people said I dated a werewolf. I better shut up, Sorry Tonks. Never again.

Ok... it's plausible.

Whatever it was, definitely as strong enough. But as they use it
to communicate each other, I suppose many were witnesses of the
change, and realizing it's a wolf, the smart ones made the
connection. Everyone keep it quiet; Snape sneered.

We have no evidence there were any witnesses to the change, however,
until Snape. Tonks wanted her Patronus to go to Hagrid, who
presumably would not have recognized it. She was upset when she
realized Snape had recieved it instead. That could go to the fact
that her changed Patronus (whatever the reason) was still a secret she
was trying to keep. It certainly wasn't common knowledge in the
Order, for Remus hadn't heard about it.

I suppose they all know each other's patronuses so they can know who calls who: that's the Order Official Communication Media. Otherwise, I suddenly saw a cool silver rabbit, I follow it, BANG! Death Eater, I'm dead. They already used them in OotP, even when Tonks probably never use hers in action, others were aware of the shape it took. Then, suddenly, she sends a wolf. Ooops, it changed. Many might have thought it was due to the stress (specially if they didn't realize it was a dog but some four-legged thingy), but some other more clever made the werewolf connection.

Ok, ok. The impostor is Bellatrix. They switched at the MoM
battle. Voldemort took the real Tonks when no one saw. Bellatrix
now fall in love with Lupin cause her hubby is in jail, and
Voldemort realized he has more fun playing with Nagini that with
her. With Lupin she will find redemption. :)

Ew! You win. That's too disgusting. Grown men would cry. Children
would give up reading altogether, and Laura Mallory would win her
crusade on the basis of that plot thread alone.
