SInce Dumbledore appears to believe that the diminishment of Voldemort's soul is a liability to Voldemort, I owuld venture to say that the soul is finite.

Now whether it can be infinitely divided is another question. However, Voldemort seems to think that seven is the number of soul fragments that grants him the most power; if he is right, making more Horcruzes would weaken him.
