How about a vote?

I have to say I feel like I'm being a bit misrepresented here... I'm in
the Snape is evil camp... (If evil is defined by being a horrible,
hateful, murderous, and self-serving jerk.) but with an exception. I
think he is genuinely against Lord Voldemort. So if you're defining
good and evil as being against or for Voldemort respectively, then I
guess you got me pegged the first time.
Okay.
Snape is evil, loves the Dark Arts, but wants to see Voldemort
destroyed. That's my vote.
That confirms you as the "not evil" camp, Joe.
