Not true.. Lots of people work at MY bank but they sure as hell better
not go taking my money out! There could be no legitimate reason except
for prior authorization by the account holder.

That's what banks do. Take your money, then replace it with interest.
Thanks to the digital age, we just use unverifiable numbers. Who
knows if the amount at any given time matches? We just trade numbers
nowdays.
