Actually....in the book...on page 646 of the Scholastic Paperback

So in the book, V calls Lily a Muggle.
Not really. V says his late father was a muggle and a fool... then
he compares his father to Harry's mother and says they are very like
each other. He does not say they are identical, only that they are
similar, and the word muggle only refers to V's father.
