Okay, to work out who isn't there, we must first identify everybody...

At the top are the Fat Friar, Nearly-Headless Nick, Fawkes, a ghost who
might be the Grey Lady, a very fuzzy ghost, Peeves, and another ghost.

Then a bit lower down are the Fat Lady, Grawp, Sir Cadogan, Hedwig, and
two more portraits - a probable Nigellus, then Mrs.Black with locket.

Now, to the left of Hagrid's face is a jumbled group of eight people I
can't positively identify - a long-haired man & woman with an old bearded
man in front of them and an witch in an big hat, are they Frank & Alice
Longbottom, Uncle Algie, and Augusta? Then a bald man (not Voldemort),
a young boy, a scruffy man who might be Mundungus, and a spectacled man.

Then going above Hagrid's head is Mad-Eye Moody, a young person, another
spectacled man who's wearing a hat, Olympe Maxime, a witch with a lot of
white space above her, then further over a hatted man with sideburns, a
long-haired man with glasses down his nose, and a happy fat bald guy.

Back to the left for Madam Trelawney, possibly Irma 'I am Prince' Pince,
McGonagall, Dumbledore, Hagrid, Filch, Mrs.Norris, a couple who might be
Fleur & Bill since she has long blonde hair though he isn't scarred, a
man who ~is~ scarred, a man with a cravat, a man in an old top hat, below
him a man wearing glasses & a person wearing a floppy hat; and underneath
could easily be Harry so that must be James with Lily, and above her is
that Rosmerta carrying beer? No trouble identifying Snape, then Buckbeak
about to peck Sirius perhaps, a man dressed for the winter so I guess he
is Karkaroff, a handsome man & an ugly man by his shoulder, Lockhart with
his award-winning smile, a moustached man carrying a cane, an old woman
wearing a monocle, old man in hat, old bald man, a man in glasses, and a
group of four who must be the Dursleys - Marge, Vernon, Petunia, Dudley.

Zoe Wanamaker who played Hooch then got fired, a distinguished gentleman
with a worried lady who must be Arthur & Molly, two men I can't identify
then slide across Snape's chest for a third; Miranda Richardson so she
must be Rita Skeeter, fat toad Dolores with a clipboard, some guy trying
to look evil, then a guy who really is evil with Nagini on his shoulder,
then a dour couple, a fat couple, and three ugly inbreds - the Gaunts?

Below Trelawney is an old man & a handsome lad who might be Amos & Cedric,
and below them is a boy in a pullover, a group of four in school uniform,
a girl with big eyes & a ponytail, some boy, a boy half-hidden by a broom
who might be Dennis (the boy not the broom); then above Miss Ponytail is
a bloke with his collar undone, a plump witch in a big hat (and I've done
Augusta & Molly already), then Colin with his camera, Ron with Pigwidgeon
on his shoulder, Harry & Hermione (beautifully drawn), Wormtail with his
silver hand, Macnair with his axe, below him an old guy with a handlebar
moustache, a nasty man, a furtive woman, a sad woman, a face in profile,
a glum bloke, another face in profile (looking the other way), below him
Firenze's head (so the other centaurs are missing), and a happy couple.

Down & to the right of Miss Ponytail is some boy, girl with big earrings,
Lee Jordan with his megaphone, and by the axe blade some other boy.

Now, down in the bottom left corner is a block of eleven students I can't
identify (a boy/girl/girl/boy/girl/girl/girl above a girl/girl/boy/boy).

On either side of the broomstick are Angelina & Oliver; then a delightful
portrait of Luna with her butterbeer cap necklace - but what is dangling
from her wrists? Ginny & Neville (freckles & Mimbulus Mimbletonia), angry
girl, smirking boy, possibly Draco flanked by Crabbe & Goyle, some other
girl obscured by Firenze's arm, and another person hidden by the centaur.

Finally, at the front are Fred (or George in an F sweater), Crookshanks,
George (unless that's Fred in a G sweater), Dobby wearing lots of hats,
a boozing Winky, Kreacher asleep in big pyjamas, and wandering Trevor.

Phew! So, a challenge - who can name all those people I couldn't?
