I think this is most certainly due to the fact that he is modelled
after her least favorite teacher of all time, and that she has never
written a pleasant exchange between him and the protagonist. Other than
that, it proves nothing.
In fact, I would posit that she also makes the above statement out of
frustration (and an attempt to mislead) due to the large number of
people who still think Snape is good. Which he is, sort of. He opposes
Voldemort, at least.

Not necessarily hatred. Disgust, anger, intent to kill, and other
emotions will also suffice. No matter the situation, you can't argue
that Snape didn't have intent to kill.
