Well, maybe you have a point about the "old", but then who wants to hear
the same theory 20 times?

Most of time it's when someone expresses them badly.

Oh, I'm so sick of this. "Think of the children!" No, YOU think of the
children and let me, as a happily childless adult, be an adult. I
shouldn't have to cater all of my words and actions to what makes a child
comfortable. Especially on a newsgroup comprised mostly of adults.

I expressed my enjoyment of the latest film and I certainly don't recall
being attacked.

Again, it's not WHAT people say, it's how they say it. The fact that you
started out with an attack (the whole, "don't say anything bad about the
books or you'll damage the poor kiddies" thing) doesn't exactly endear you
to people.
