Harry hardly spent his time in that memory focusing on Snape's writing,
it would have been little more than a passing glance. Perhaps had Harry
realised he might need to recognise Snape's writing in future he would
have paid close attention - but he didn't. I wouldn't have a chance in
hell of recognising the writing of someone whose work I'd glanced at
once. Would you recognise the handwriting of a neighbour who gave you a
christmas card a year ago?
