Snape's reasons to be in LV's side (HBP spoiler)

(BTW, this will be my last post till October 10, as my son's school has one
week free... )

So, after reading a few GoF - HBP this days, (thought I promise I wouldn't
do that until next year), I came with some reasons that for me, are enough
to think why Snape is more - or have more reasons - to remain loyal to LV
rather than DD.

First, Don't forget that Snape is ambitious, as he is Slytherin (don't start
witht the 'no all Slytherin are bad', I am no t saying that...) and in his
case, what he wants might not be world domination but simply revenge. And
his revenge has to be against the people he hates the most: James and
Sirius, who are both dead. Also, he has 'one of them' as his personal slave,
Peter. There is no way he could have been in that position in DD's side, as
he even thought that all his hate could be easily forget in order to help
James' son.

I also wonder? Does Snape sees himself in Voldemort? We don't know how much
of LV's privete life his DE know, but Snape and the Dark Lord have much in
common. VOldemort hates his father as he left his mother (I recall he said
'he didn't like magic' or something) and he murdered him. We saw Snape's
father bullying Eillen Prince. Was this what caused Snape wished to join the
DE? Did he ever think 'why my mother, a witch, can be so easily scared by
this muggle'?, then, that must have cause some sort of dislike for muggles
shared by the common DE.

Also, DD offered Snape the chance to join them instead of Azkaban, but if LV
ever manages to conquer the wizardkind, there is no Azkaban for Snape.
