I'm a strong supporter of the "Snape is good" theory as far as the
first reading of the HBP.

For me is clear Snape didn't know almost anything regarding Draco's
mission but he is "pulling the string" to Narcissa and guessing
(after all he is extremely clever) about Draco must do something
difficult and dangerous in Hogwarts.

How does anything in the books even imply that Snape didn't know anything about Draco's mission? A literal reading of the book makes it seem as if Snape knows exactly what the mission is. He doesn't seem the type to vow to give his life for a cause he doesn't even know.

I agree with Germán Socías, I don't think Snape knew what exactly what the
mission was... Didn't you hear Snape trying to get the info out of Malfoy
during that Xmas party? He didn't know what Malfoy had to do, if he didn't
know how could he help Malfoy get the mission done?

Snape wasn't trying to find out what the mission was, he wanted to know how Draco was planning on accomplishing it. Snape's life was sort of at stake here, and you can't help someone that won't let you help them.

Then he is forced to Vow to protect Draco (this he is willing to do)
and to finish Draco's task if he can't (here he hesitates as he
doesn't know what is he vowing).

The question is: Which is the mission assigned to Draco?

Um, killing Dumbledore. Which is why he says, you know, "I have to do it [kill you, Dumbledore] or he will kill me and my family!"

Yeah, but WHEN was that mission assigned? Before or after the Vow made by
Snape?

Before. Were you reading Chapter 2? Narcissa went to Snape /because/ of the assignment and how dangerous it was. She wasn't anticipating it, the assignment had already been given (as per statements by Narcissa and Bellatrix).

It is not said in the whole book but we are directed to think Draco
should grant the DE into Hogwarts AND kill Dumbledore...

I can't see how anybody can accept the mission to kill Dumbledore,
"the greatest wizard of our time". Even less an untrained teenager.
This would be a direct death sentence, not a mission! Just two
months ago, Lord Voldemort itself was unable to hurt DD. Who can
think for a minute Draco will?

Draco didn't exactly have a choice. That's the point. Voldemort intentionally forced him to take a task in which failure was basically assured, as punishment for Lucius's failures. Draco couldn't deny the assignment because V would then kill his family.

True, true... And Snape thwarted that failed mission... Wish is
confusing...

No, he made sure Dumbledore was dead...somewhat completing the mission. He realized Malfoy couldn't pull the trigger, so he salvaged the situation as best he could.

Then I suspect Draco's mission was to open Hogwarts to a few DE and
then they should join to kill Dumbledore and maybe Harry (or kidnap
him). Is only to ease his task that Draco tries (not very hard) to
kill DD.

This makes no sense at all. The dialogue between Malfoy and Dumbledore makes it abundantly clear that the assignment is to kill DD.

Yeah, but WHEN was the assignment cast? Before or after the Vow Snape made
with Narcissa?

I heard you the first time. Same response applies.

If it is so, Snape's Vow is fullfilled after the arrival of the DE
and a world of possibilities is open again.

What do you think?

I think you're grasping at straws, and not making much sense in so doing.

As I said, I agree with Germán Socías... There's more to this mission I
think... And there's always more to what we are allowed to see in the book
"behind the scenes"... Guess book 7 will clear it all up for us, won't it?

There may be more to the motives, but the nature of the mission is made abundantly clear in book 6. Guess you'll be disappointed, yeah?
