Naturally. One of Harry's classmates will go on to become a

Prior to HBP most people thought that this would be Neville, but after HBP I think that Draco is also a good candidate

You mean after he serves his 20 years in Azkaban for his part in the murder of Dumbledore? It would be very odd for a school to hire as a teacher someone who participated in the murder of its headmaster.

I am very dubious about Draco.

In many ways I think she has opened a door ajar for the possibility of redemption for Draco -- or at least of partial redemption (enough, perhaps, that he could come back to teach.

Dumbledore may have seen some good in Draco, but I doubt that anyone else will.

I don't know. I think of this passage:

Over at the Slytherin table Crabbe and Goyle were muttering together. Hulking boys though they were, they looked oddly lonely without the tall, pale figure of Malfoy between them, bossing them around. Harry had not spared Malfoy much thought. His animosity was all for Snape, but he had not forgotten the fear in Malfoy's voice on that Tower top, nor the fact that he had lowered his wand before the other Death Eaters arrived. Harry did not believe that Malfoy would have killed Dumbledore. He despised Malfoy still for his infatuation with the Dark Arts, but now the tiniest drop of pity mingled with his dislike. Where, Harry wondered, was Malfoy now, and what was Voldemort making him do under threat of killing him and his parents? [HBP-30 'The White Tomb']

It seems that Harry's pity could be the first step -- now that Dumbledore's mercy has become irrelevant. Draco did, after all, choose to switch sides just before the Death Eaters arrived, and Harry knows that.

Even if he does something spectacular on behalf of the Good Guys,
the best he can hope for is a suspended sentence.

It's possible that you're right, but right now Draco seems to me the most likely candidate for a redeemed evil (we need one of those), though possibly Wormtail might also do it.

I can't help wondering if he'll take steps to replace the one
Horcrux he knows to have been destroyed (the Diary).

I don't think so. He created, or wanted to create, seven because of the magical power of the number seven. If he creates another, it will be the eighth, even though one has been destroyed. Eight not being a magic number, he might end up with less protection than he started with.

In the end that depends on how Rowling decided to have Voldemort interpret the idea about the seven-part soul. If the power is in having sevel parts in the world, then he will probably try to recreate it (though he may wish to do it with his murder of Harry -- seeing how it failed the first time).

I don't think he will be able to recreate the lost Horcrux (es) - there is no indication that he was able to determine that one was already destroyed. Then - there is the effect on him as the Horcruxes are destroyed - which I assume will make him less and less "human" (Whatever that means). With one Horcrux lost - he no longer has a WHOLE soul at all - so splitting up the remaining parts would not change anything in my way of thinking.

Now - the next question - how much of his soul is in the Horcruxes to begin with. It cannot have be his entire soul - since he is "alive" and presumably must have some soul to be alive.
