:(Of course, there's no way to prove or disprove it. Because of legal

I too very much doubt that she spends any time in this forum - it is just way
too time-consuming for someone who is both a full-time author and a full-time
mom who enjoys spending time with her children. She has mentioned
(in interviews) being in chat rooms, and I'm sure she pokes around in sites like
mugglenet. And I'm sure that the people who contribute to those forums also
contribute here or at least read postings. That JKR responds to issues that
seem to be raised here could be explained by their being raised in these other
forums as well. That could be from people reading them here then repeating
them there, or just multiple people coming up with the same ideas.
I also doubt she would have much concern over the legal ramifications of reading
theories here, there, or anywhere. In fact, she has stated in interviews that
she enjoys reading the theories. I don't know what the copyright laws are with
regards to newsgroup postings, but I wouldn't give any poster a snowball's
chance in hell of successfully suing the wealthiest woman in England (read:
someone who can afford the best legal representation money can buy) on
the basis of speculation they posted to a public forum. Add to that the fact
that JKR already has the rest of the story completed in her head if not
in her notes, and I can't see any reason for her to fear legal ramifications of
reading the ramblings of fans. All that said, I still doubt she reads this
forum.
