Well, that is a twist. Especially seeing the garbage pixels on
the screen in Windows. It's too bad Linux doesn't have more
good testing options for graphics. GLXgears isn't much of
a test. And the Linux desktop likely won't stress the
card much at all.
One question I'd have, is how is it possible for the screen
in Windows to get messed up like that, presumably under a
driver's control ? I mean, would a driver enable a resource
that wasn't initialized ? That garbage could be an overlay
of some sort, applied to the screen image.
Too bad the video card companies don't have a diagnostic
or test software that a customer could run.
