I can make a DOS boot CD. If any installable drivers and devices are needed
I can load those via CONFIG.SYS and AUTOEXEC.BAT during the boot process.
Then I can run the utility from the command line. Do you know of a DOS
utility that will find the detailed info about the DIMMs in the system? If
it is small enough I can probably just do it all with a floppy - but a
bootable CD would be fine too. I'm not sure what Live CD is.

I previously asked this question here and people recommended excellent
utility programs that run under Windows. I have downloaded and used the
recommended programs.
But I'm also looking for a utility that runs from DOS boot. What I'm
looking for is a DOS utility that interogates the installed DIMMs and
tells
you the information it gets back. Info like max clock speed, ECC type,
chips on the DIMM, manufacturer's part number or series, etc.
TIA. Bill S.
Does it have to be a Dos boot diskette? Or would running a Live CD
work for you?
