Re: ASUS P5N32 SLI E and RAM errors

I have tested each pair separately, the errors persist despite replacing all
RAM with another set of RAM.
I will drill down and test each stick individually, but I suspect you are
correct.

Thank you -I increased to 2.1 and recieved erros with both Memtest &
Memtest86+
Also checked- my RAM is on the QVL
Well, unfortunately, the MB seems to be the problem. Memtest 86 and 86+
are very accurate as far as finding errors, but with all you've done, it
looks like the errors are because of a defective MB.
Just to be sure, did you install just one stick, run Memtest on it, then
another stick by itself, until all 4 sticks have been tested individually
with no errors on any of them? That would eliminate, or point to a bad
memory stick. If each stick is "clean", then the MB is the culprit.

I have checked the acual memory settings - they are as reported.
I have removed each pair.
When running with a single 2 GB pair (either pair) I have no errors
- does this mean the memory is OK and I should be looking at the
mother board or system settings?
I also need to clarify my memtest results- at 2 GB test, Memtest
continuously repeats, but always reports for test 2: 32767 errors
(Microsoft soes not find these errors)
At 4 GB, I have errors on each test (24-168)
If you have tried increasing the voltage with no luck, then it may
be the MB just doesn't like that brand of memory. Asus have a QVL,
or Qualifies Vendor List, which lists memory that will work with the
MB. There should be one in the manual for your P5N32.
The only MB I can find on Asus' web site is the P5N32-E SLI Plus. You
can take a look at the QVL by going to this link and clicking On
QVL Download at the upper left of the page.

You should be able to run Memtest86+ (sees more memory than the
regular Memtest, if I remember correctly) for hours without a single
error. When I built my system with the P5B-Plus, using Corsair
memory, I would get intermittent errors also. After increasing
memory voltage from the 1.9V default to 2.05V, Memtest86+ ran 24
hours (many passes) without a single error.
