Re: P5K Series - where to plug in the mouse?

hi guys, thanks for the hint.
To me, this desing (must be rather new?) is somewhat odd, as one has to use up an USB port for the mouse. I wonder how much more it would have cost the producer of the MoBo to install a second PS/2 port beneath the one for the keyboard.
Okay, not much one can do (exept buying a different board, like e.g. Abit)
Best regards, Erich

I made the mistake of buying this mb too because whne I read PS2 in the specs I made the wrong assumption of it having both mouse and keyboard PS2. Easy mistake to make right? Not according to the some of the twats in this group. They say it is my fault for not readying the specs closer. This mb cost me an extra $60.00 because I use KVM's and my KVM only had PS2 so i had to go and buy a new KVM with USB. I bought a KVM with PS2 - USB adapters built in. Well, guess what? The PS2 - USB adapter on this KVM gives me issues in games when I need to use multiple keystrokes at the same time. That means I had to dump my beloved Creative PS2 keyboard and go buy a new USB keyboard. Thanks a lot Asus, you cheap cunts. Pull a stunt like this again and I guarantee this will be the last Asus I buy.

Oh, and some dumbasses in this group told me a PS2 splitter would give me both PS2 mouse and keyboard support. Wrong! Sourced the splitter on the internet and bought one, when I plugged it in the mb still only saw the keyboard and no mouse. Don't pay too much attention to the amateurs in this group because mostly they talk out of their arse and will defend Asus for no good reason. ie. Fanbois.
