I have a couple of motherboards here, which have only one PS/2 connector,
but implement both the keyboard and mouse signals on the one connection
(they use pin2 for the mouse data, and pin6 for the clock). These are
common on some laptops, and if the plug does have both signals, a simple
'splitter cable' can be used to access both signals. The advantage from
the manufacturers point of view is the saving of space, and cost of the
extra connector, but including both interfaces costs basically nothing,
since the chipsets at present still implement both signals.
It might be worth checking.

Yea, if they did it that way that might be ok. But the manual states
keyboard PS2 so I doubt it is that way. Sure, Laptops may have had
only one PS2 connector but I have never seen a desktop mb done this
way. I fully researched the mb and it took me two weeks to decide on
which mb to get but when I read the specs I read PS2 and overlooked
where it said keyboard only. That means I will have to buy a new KVM
with both USB and PS2 and a good one is not cheap.

PS2, Serial, Parallel are all considered obsolete ports.
