Hi all!
I have got an Asus P2B with PII 350, 100MHz bus, etc.
1) How to overclock the original CPU (the PII)
2) How to overclock other CPUs .. can i use the 133MHz multiplier?
On the manual there an important note that states " the chipset is not
tested with 133mhz bus " or something similar, and i'm not sure if i can use
it with frequencies to 1Ghz or about 1,3Ghz.
bye bye

Datasheets for the various clock generator chips are here. You
can, for example, get the part number off the top of the
clock generator chip, then look at what capabilities it has
via a data***. What you particularly want to avoid, is selecting
133MHz with a 44MHz PCI bus (133MHz with 33MHz PCI, on the other hand,
is perfect). PCI works best, at 37.5MHz or below, for best stability. For
some reason, some motherboards offer 133MHz CPU and 44MHz PCI, which is not
likely to work well. (On the old chipsets, the Northbridge connects to the
Southbridge via PCI, so you don't want an unstable PCI bus in a case like that.)

Some processors listen to the multiplier jumpers, while others
do not. None of the later processors I own (Coppermine, Tualatin)
listen to the multiplier jumpers, so I don't need to change them.
PII is before my time.
