Fan Error On Start Up

Have just put a P5B Deluxe WF Mothe board in my PC
When I turn on my PC I get a Fan error and 4 beeps
Basically going into the Bios I've not got a fan going or connected.
But I have a fan connected, and it's spinning damn fast
How can this error be? I looked at connections etc...
The fan is on a new Intel Core2 Duo E6600 Processors...
everything else is fine.
