Also, when I open Asus Probe II and watch the voltages, doing something
simple like dragging a window brings the +12v rail down from 12.04 to 11.87,
every time, which I don't know if that's normal or not.
Until Asus Probe is calibrated with a 3.5 digit multimeter, then
voltages are unknown. Voltage numbers must exceed 3.23, 4.87, and
11.7 for four critical voltages on orange, purple, red, and yellow
wires. Those four numbers may provide other useful information when
posted.
Take that CPU temperature. Add 20 degrees C because everything must
work just fine in a 100 degree F room. Does your temperature plus 20
exceed manufacturer CPU specs? Then temperature obviously is not
reason for failure. Put computer in a 100 degree F room to find
defective hardware. Heat is a diagnostic tool to find defective
hardware.
