Hmmm. Standard PC is not so bad.
I can even move (slightly) the 'Task Manager Windows', with 0% CPU
showing ;-)
I see no use for ACPI, beside when I have a machine with more devices
than I have IRQ's free. Then I would select ACPI, of course. Otherwise,
I turn off the machine totally (AC-Adaptor Switch) and the CRT Monitor
is going in standby, except cold-boot, then my CRT is switching off and
on. That is ACPI and their followers :), Green Energy, Power saving and
other hardware destroying inventions! (2-year PC,... freaky.... but...
really happened, even in faster time!!!)
