AV8 Deluxe: Freeze or Pause at Full Screen Logo

My computer starting doing this about a week ago. Turning it off for a few
minutes would result in a normal boot and all was well software wise after
that. Now I cannot get it to start at all, it just stops at the Bios Boot
Screen. Pushing Del to get into the bios does not work but ctrl-alt-del
will reboot the computer.

Any ideas? First thing I am going to try is memory. Also I had a situation
for a long time in which bios setting are not retained despite replacing the
bios battery.
