What are acceptable mobo temps?

I have an Asus P5P800-VM that I just installed a Pentium D 945 on. The CPU
temps are OK (idling in the high 20s to low 30s), but the mobo temp is getting
to about 42C (nearly 108F) with the system at idle. I'm not used to seeing
board temps that high at idle, but I notice the PC Probe board default threshold
is 75C (167F)! That seems unreasonably hot.

Should I be concerned about an idle 42C board temp? Fortunately, that increases
little under a sustained load topping out at about 45 or 46C. Still, a board
temp that averages higher than the CPU under stress is strange (I'm processing a
movie now and just checked temps: the CPU is 42C and the board is 45C).

    ... my CPU temp has gone from 60c to a cool 35-40c when the CPU was worked hard it would hit 70c and become VERY slow but now it stays just under 50c when totally maxed out which isn't to bad! ... i've not done the graphics card yet or the new HDD but them 2 things alone could give me a nice even newer feeling comp! ... So random temps seemed to be which part of the CPU was working or something, and a little bit of it wasn't making contact with the heat sink. ...
