Motherboard: ASUS A8N-SLI Deluxe BIOS Rev 1016
CPU: Athlon 3700+ San Diego Rev E4
RAM: 2 x Kingston Hyperx 256MB DDR400 CL2 (2-3-2-6-1), 1 x Kingston
Hyperx 512MB DDR400 CL2 (2-3-2-6-1). SPDs are identical on all three
sticks. 166Mhz: 2-3-3-7; 200Mhz: 2.5-3-3-8.
With default BIOS settings the system is running the memory at DDR333
(CPU/14) at 2.5-3-3-7. Attempting to manually set the memory clock to
DDR400 results in the system beeping instead of booting.
No-one with a hint as to why an A8N-SLI Deluxe can't even run 3 DDR400 CAS2
sticks at DDR400 CAS2.5?
.
