A8R-MVP Component Recommendations

Hi,
I am building a new system for the first time in a few years and
wanted to run the components I plan to buy through this group
to see if there is anybody willing to share opinions of what I may
want to rethink. This is my first ASUS MB - have been using
MSI prior to this. My primary goal is to steer toward lower
cost over performance and upgrade components later if it makes
sense. I'm not much of a gamer but am into home video editing
and that is the primary reason for the upgrade.
In any case, I have a handful of components in hand that I was
either given or bought over the last few months that start the
system off as follows:
ASUS A8R-MVP motherboard
AMD 64x2 4400+ CPU (will upgrade down the road)
nVidia e-GeForce 7300 GS graphics card
WD2500KS 250 GB SATA drive (2 - plan to run Raid 0)
And the parts I intend to add are:
Antec LifeStyle Sonata II case with 450W SmartPower 2.0
Thermaltake CL-P0075 CPU heatsink/fan
Kingston ValueRAM 1GB 184 pin PC3200 SDRAM
NEC 16X DVD+-R Burner Model ND-3550A
Linkskey LKA-CR15B Card reader/writer
Any thoughts or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Tim
