I downloaded 1004 and noticed that 1004 includes a copy of
AWDFLASH (version 1.06). Perhaps flash 1003 to 1004 and then try 1009 ?
It could be an AWDFLASH version problem.
The very latest AWDFLASH can be found by going to the download
page and entering "tools" as the motherboard model name. The
version here is 1.18 .

As for the Asus web pages, I've noticed an increased number of
Javascript errors. There are links on the product page that
do not work properly, so finding a tech support page not
working, is not a surprise :-(
This would be another place to try for info, but note that Asus
does not monitor its own forum. I got the idea for AWDFLASH
versioning error from here, as a possible suggestion:
